Jasan, Rudhauli, Basti: Yogendra Mohan Gupta, chairman of Dainik Jagran Group, had a deep attachment to Basti and Jagran Public School. The eyes of the school management as well as the teachers and students became moist with the news of the death. On Saturday, condolence meeting and peace reading was held at Jagran Public School Basti.
Yogendra Mohan had laid the foundation stone of Jagran Public School in Basti on 13 October 2013. He was in favor of providing better educational facilities in rural areas. He continued his lifelong efforts for this through Jagran Educational Foundation. This trust established new paradigms in the education world under his leadership. Under this trust, many educational institutions are run in Uttar Pradesh, where thousands of students are studying.
In the condolence meeting, silence was prayed for the peace of the departed soul. The manager of the school, Dr. Chandra Prabha Pandey said that this school has been running under the guidance of Yogendraji and from time to time he himself used to come to the school and give suggestions for the development of the students.
Pradeep Pandey, Chairman, Vidya Pandey Smriti Educational Institute, shared his memories and said that he had a lot of experience in nurturing and innovating rural participants.
Principal Rajesh Mishra, remembering Yogendra as a man of inspiration, said that he used to inspire everyone to benefit the society by his own works and always advocated to eliminate social evils by making education a weapon.
